Notre lifting avance, prêt pour début octobre, mais déjà les
premières mutations apparaissent, avec l'apparition d'une nouvelle
chroniqueuse talentueuse, Lilly en provenance directe de New York. Elle nous fera découvrir
en "VO Only" sa "Cool Attitude" So Unique ! Aujourd'hui, elle nous fait découvrir, le
dernier défilé New Yorkais vedette de Marc Jacobs, un régal !

Marc Jacobs has always been a rock star, but his last
few collections haven't quite measured up.
Fall was on the incline, but
with his spring collection, he shot threw the roof. Set amongst a green
rolling hills backdrop, models walked down the green catwalk in mostly
cream, grey, and pale blue colored masterpieces. Look number 2 was a
cream colored multi panelled mini dress with tulle sleeves. An ornate
twist on the classic white summer dress.
When Jacobs stuck with single
color pieces, he can't go wrong. Less successful pieces involved velvet
polka dots and glittery, heavily textured looks most suitable for a
dinner party in the 80's. Few glittery pieces aside, the collection was
an overall smashing success. The mint green panelled dress worn by my
personal favorite model, Lily Donaldson, is ideal for day or night, and
the color flattering on most everyone.

The following look, look #10
included a gold leather bomber jacket i have only dreamed about. The
butterfly grey and white striped dress worn by Mrs. Jack White, Karen
Elson, was made for dancing, while the seeming similar yellow, navy,
and white striped dress which followed, conjures up fantasies of tanned
skin; lounging on a boat deck. The show had a bit of a lag in the
middle when various takes on the T-shirt dress appeared. The fabulous,
far out weighed the not-so-fabulous, though. When the model "du jour
"coke head of the moment Irina Lazareanu walked down the runway in look
36, i was breathless. Not just because she managed to lose another 10
pounds from her already impossibly thin body since last season, but
because the dress was absolutely stunning.

It was a white silk organza
dress deacorated with flowers, skimming the thigh with a flowing train.
If it weren't for the risquè length, i'd buy this dress right now and
save it for my wedding day, (keep in mind, i am not even engaged). Look
39 was another white standout made up of Coco Chanel worthy silk
flowers. The black and white lace cocktail dress of Look 42 is
guarunteed to grace at least one It Girl's back on the red carpet.

Really i could go on for hours about these looks and describe the
ornate detail one by one, but the collection is really something you
must check out yourself. At least 40 of the 53 looks were knock outs,
not to mention the newly svelte, handsom designer, who closed the show
in a Mickey Mouse T-shirt and has never looked better.
